Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Brooks Contractors wants everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their ability or the technology they use. This statement explains how the site meets accessibility standards and what to do if you have a problem.
Our standard
This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and to support our duties under the Equality Act 2010.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and focus is always clearly visible.
- A skip to content link lets keyboard and screen reader users move straight to the main content.
- Text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background.
- Every form field has a visible label, and errors are explained in plain text next to the field.
- Images have descriptive alternative text.
- Pages use a logical heading order and standard HTML landmarks.
- Animations are switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- The cookie banner can be used with a keyboard and screen reader, and never traps focus.
- Text can be resized up to 200 percent without loss of content.
Known limitations
Some content provided by third parties, such as embedded maps, may not fully meet the standard. We offer the same information as text wherever possible.
