Most renovations involve more trades than people expect. A new bathroom needs a plumber, an electrician, a plasterer, a tiler and often a decorator. A kitchen adds a carpenter. An extension brings in bricklayers and roofers too. Each trade depends on the one before it finishing on time and to the right standard.
The problem with booking trades separately
When you book each trade yourself, you become the project manager. You have to work out the order, juggle five diaries and deal with the knock on effect when one person runs late. If the plasterer arrives before the electrician has finished first fix, walls get chased out twice. If the tiler finds the walls are not flat, the job stops while you find someone to fix it.
What a project manager actually does
With Brooks Contractors, you speak to one person from the first visit to the final walk round. We plan the order of work, book each trade from our group of skilled partners, check the work at each stage and sort out any issues before they hold the job up. That experience comes from 8 years managing construction projects from start to finish.
What you get at the end
A finished space that looks like it was built as one job, because it was. You also get the right paperwork, such as electrical certificates from NICEIC, NAPIT and Part P registered electricians and gas certificates from Gas Safe registered engineers.
